October the 8th, 2015, (1/8/8) a beautiful day that encourages us all to be more spiritual. Incidentally, this reading was also done at a time 1811 hours. Coincidence?

Anyway, today's reading goes out as a message to those of you who happen to be in a strained relationship. (Romantic relationship, to be specific)

The cards say thus:

Perhaps you were hurt by someone you love. You converted that hurt into anger and arrogance but dear, you still do love that person and the distance is only increasing the torment.
Know that your love is waiting for you, ready to accept you. Also know that together you shall attain divine bliss.
Shed all your fears for one more time. Do not doubt the person you love, together you shall be able to face it all.
So, if you have been avoiding him/her, this is a fine time to go forth without your ego, and speak out the truth of your heart. This will help you get closure to the nagging pain. Seek help from a wiser person you trust, it would be of use.

July 21st and onwards; a ride of realisations

Sometimes I wonder why these readings happen on Tuesdays! Why not on weekends? Or why not on a Monday? I mean they are more logical days for a weekly reading. But nopes, I don't wake up on Tuesdays, I rise a wiccan, ready to read. Hmmm. Anyway, I guess that's how it is.

Notice when we talked about inheritance, we spoke about circumstances being responsible for spiritual inheritance? Yes, you are being asked to look at what you encounter as the perfectly orchestrated set of circumstances, required for your growth. "You are being prodded by means of the situations you face, to seek your heart's desire. Seek the blessing in the situation and you shall find the key"

You shall be presented with an opportunity to "decide who you truly are and act for your divine purpose"

For some, the week ahead shall present with all this, for others, it shall present with a realisation: an enlightenment in retrospect; wherein you shall realise why, some time back, you encountered a particular situation. It is a time for you to be able to connect those dots and see the picture that you saw as a storm of crazy dots until now.

PLAYING SAFE BY GOING OUT THERE

"I am safe" tell yourself. "I am protected."
In the week to come, some of us might feel unsafe at some level: physical, material or spiritual. There could also be some hidden danger. While you must keep hold of what you have, you must also reassure yourself that all is well because anticipating an accident only attracts it to us. Thus, combat your issue also with your thoughts by maintaining a positive outlook.

It is important to not feel deprived: of love/materialistic requirements/safety etc. Abundance is as abundance perceived. Remember. Positive results must be expected to attain positive results. If you can successfully and rationally do this, the coming week might bring you good luck and better fortune.

In the coming week, if you find yourself in chaos, remember to think of it as an indication to be mindful of your thoughts and the way you conduct your life.

Step back and see to get an overview of how things are working. If you get caught in the chaos, you will feel stagnant. But if you can take the chaos as a challenge, if you can step back and see how things are, you could do much better.

When in doubt, recognise your heart's true desire, trust it and follow it.

June end and early July

'Where there is passion, new paths can be created'

When it seems that there simply isn't a way out, what does one do? Do we sit and moan? Do we try and seek? Needless to say, we seek. Stranded in a forest, we seek a clearing behind a certain bush . When such a situation arises within 'us' we must turn inwards and seek.

This is the message for the coming week.

We shall face seemingly insurmountable blockages but we must at all costs, hold on to our true, most genuine passion, seek within, and wait for clarity. It is a time to fight for your beliefs and passion, do not give up. It could be that great idea you have been trying to impress upon your boss at work that no one seems to pay heed to. It could be that project you wish to start but no one seems to realise its significance. It could be that spiritual breakthrough you have been wanting to attain but are finding difficult.

Worry not, as long as you truly believe in your idea, you shall succeed.

Universe works is mysterious ways and more than often, we may not be able to connect the dots while the plan unfolds. Nonetheless, you must sit back, relax, believe and watch the divine plan work out.

Stay true to yourself, and believe in destiny and the divine plan.

Saying 'NO' To Amnesia

Here is a beautiful Sanskrit shloka that says "deliver from darkness (Tamas) unto light (Jyoti) ..Conscious awakening of the consciousness, from amnesia to truth..."

Say aloud with me:
I AM joy, pure and free
I AM my manifestation, my true dream
I AM fearless of what is to come
I AM powerful I AM I AM I AM truth.

These aren't just words. Words , in fact, are NEVER just words, they are spells the power of which depends upon the intent of the speaker. Now go back again, read the sentences one by one, close your eyes and speak them aloud with as much intent as you can muster.

Some of you might not believe, but we all have the power within. We ARE power. To those who are sceptical, I suggest do it anyway, what harm can this simple exercise do.
Better still, write them down on a post-it and say them out loud daily for a week or more.

You will see the difference.

Wake up from the amnesia, we are more than the small percentage of our brain that we use. Try wake up the rest of it, and realise your own power.

About duality and a divination: June 23 and later

Duality:

In the duality of the world, we see everything as poles.
There is good and bad, black and white, negative and positive, and so on.

This is the world we are told we live in, it isn't really the truth.

The truth is that duality is a manifestation of our perspective.
Ever wonder, are light and dark antagonistic or is dark merely the absence of light. Or is dark, in fact, a stage for light to exhibit itself thus in essence being its mentor? What is evil then, the light or the dark? Or none?

The truth is that good and evil are nothing more than social concepts and that joy and sorrow are both equally important. This doesn't mean we can go about hurting people. What it means is that once we transcend the illusion of good and evil we will know that those whom we want to hurt are simply immature souls, children souls , that need mentoring and not punishment and so we will not hurt them at all.

I don't know of a better way to say this than by this example: all coins have two faces and we like heads if we declared heads in a toss. Heads is good for us as it will make us win it. Good and bad are such defined terms.

The week ahead:

The week ahead is like this coin. There is joy. You have perhaps reaped some benefit or favour and hence you are happy. You are being told to acknowledge this joy, revel in it and most importantly , share it.

Spread joy when you can, so that when you need it there are people by your side who can spread it to you.

By the fag end of the week, you will begin a journey. This could be a journey in the physical world or it could be a mental or spiritual learning process. Here is where things get tricky. Just as a vacation tires us, a journey that is spiritual or mental in nature could be tiring and may cause mood changes or bouts of loneliness or sadness. You may feel stagnant and go aloof. You might even end up wondering how two days ago you were the party animal full of high spirit. Don't. Don't waste your breath wondering, you are being told. Instead , know that just as joy changed into "sorrow", sadness will change into happiness.

Embrace.

Be conscious of the change you are going through, as much as you can, embrace it, and know that it is for a greater good: one that you shall one day see.

Wishful thinking

Almost everyone tells that a wish indicates a weakness, a nick through which our energy escapes. They say that a wish implies we are bound to something.  All this erroneously makes some spiritual people think that wishing is evil....

We are bound to something ,
Our wishes indicate
Are they evil
For us, a terrible fate?
Should we all then
Just sit and accept
That what we stumble upon
And forget all quest?
Like stagnant water,
should we then become?
Aimless and passive
Free and such some?
But stagnant waters
Also breed filth and disease
Do barely any good
Just sit with ease.
True it also breeds
Many lotuses pure
Exalted flowers lovely
That many fairies, lure.

But no, a wish is not evil
If made from a place of love
For beings all and all of world
Enveloping all from above

A wish derived from a longing true
Not from greed or with jealous hue
With focus right and clarity of mind
With love for all and a heart that's kind
With selfless support to beings rest
Without wondering if that's for your own best
With faith undeterred that you are looked after
Just as much as you are offering others laughter
And with a knowing that while at times
You need to assert your skills, at times
You need to learn and need to teach
Together we can go beyond our own reach

June the 15th and later

There is a calling whispered amidst the noise of the mundane. A journey that is about to begin is planned. It is like you are in the hills, green, unkempt, wild and beautiful. A toy train with free ride awaits you. It is beautiful, rustic , Celtic. Hot cookies and fresh brew is on the menu. It is not going to wait. It leaves when it leaves. The journey begins when it is time.
All you have to do is board the train.

Some of you will meet someone who'd influence your life in subtle yet significant ways. This person will come like the rains that empower the seeds to sprout. This person shall empower you, make your true self be expressed. If there are traits you have been suppressing knowingly/ unknowingly, now is the time to unleash them.
You are being told to trust this person as your relationship shall be deep and significant.
Trust.
Have faith.
And let the journey begin.

Remember, destiny and freewill go hand in hand.

June the 9th and later

Strangely beautiful, the spirit.
So immensely powerful yet so contained.
When chained away from its purpose, when out of alignment, the spirit is at unrest. It makes us know it in the various moods and temper issues. It is our own inability to be aligned that makes us lash out on someone, remember.

A week of such a lack of alignment might be ahead for some. You may feel your rewards are no where around you. You may feel restless , even angry or frustrated.

You are being told this:

Trust that your rewards are already there. You and your rewards are in the same dark room. You can't see it as it is dark. Try light up the room. Switch on that light and go feast.

Now here is the tricky part. Enough of metaphors. How does one switch the light on?

Well, that depends.

It depends on what really is the reward. Is it what you expect? Perhaps you expect wrongly and it is actually something else right in front of you?

So once you truly understand what the reward is, remember to persevere for the light. It could be a switch you press, a remote, a string you pull or it could be the clap of your hands that switch the light on. So first, figure out HOW to light up the place.

Then light it up!

The coming week is an exercise for us to understand the above. Ponder over it and you shall know what it is...

You are strong. Strong enough to persevere.
Remember that!

Magickal Cleanser

I am having a magickal Beltane and it is Thursday, the day of Jupiter, AND in waxing phase, so when I realised my place needs cleansing, I thought why not make a cleanser for a month or so!

I am making it with two (magickal) aims:
1) Protection
2) Prosperity and general wellbeing

I used the following to prepare the cleanser:

1) vinegar: apple cider (or even synthetic will do)
2) salt (black salt or normal)
3) black pepper
4) cinnamon (powdered)
5) parsley (dried, powdered)
6) eucalyptus oil (promotes healing as well as prosperity) (also, I like the smell that lingers)
7) essential oils: jasmine to invoke the blessings of the Goddess (use what you like)

Ah, I see I haven't mentioned the amount. It doesn't matter. Base is vinegar and I added a little this a little that , totally enjoying the process... It feels good to be engrossed in what you are creating. So, as far as measurements go, I did "3 pinches of this" and "3 teaspoons of that".

Anyway...

After mixing everything I also added a little liquid soap.

This gives us our mixture. I have it in a glass bottle, which is better for vinegar based products.

Now for the magick...

We have added the right herbs and essential oils. Now, to charge them:

Set your altar as you would do for a basic ritual. Use crystals if you wish. I like seeking the spirits of black Tourmaline for protection and Quartz for charging up the mixture . Also, Selenite is my personal favourite cementing crystal that seems to orchestrate all the crystals well. Since it is a prosperity related mixture, invoking green Aventurine is also a good idea.

Keep your bottle in the centre of the altar and place the crystals around it. Arrange the rest of your altar as you do. Do a ritual you'd like the best that incorporates charging the liquid.

I did this ritual at thursday night. It us the waxing phase and I am going to keep the mixture and the crystals under the moon each night.

The first use of the mixture would be on the morning of 3rd May, before the moon becomes full later that night (because prosperity related spells shouldn't be first put to use in the waning phase. You could check the time the moon becomes full in your area and plan accordingly)

Subsequently, use it as and when you feel like! You could use it each Thursday. Or you could use it each Thursday of each waxing phase. I plan to use it as often as I can.

Beltane: the union

Beltane is here and it is so close to the full moon of May: the flower moon.

Summer is here, times are exciting and the moods are light! The moon goddess waxes and the summer exalts! This is perfect to highlight the significance of Beltane: union.

Now, often people think that union necessarily means man and woman or yin and yang union. A very important aspect of union is, also, the union of the physical world with the realms of the spirit; the union of the human being with the omnipresent divinity within and all around him.

This makes Beltane important not only to lovers, but also to those who seek truth: light workers, spiritual beings, tarot readers, pagans and wiccans in general.

How to go about it:

Firstly, there is always a little confusion about April the 30th versus May the 1st.
It doesn't matter, not really. The energies always come with a window. The window could last hours to a couple of days. So, just like full moon can be celebrated for three nights, similarly Beltane can be celebrated on 30th April or 1st of May. Or both! Who doesn't like to celebrate ;)  !!

Now that the date is settled, let us move ahead. I won't be sharing any magical recipes here (I have my apprehensions)
However , I shall guide those who can benefit from this to design their own. (Which works better anyway, in my experience)

All our answers are within us. All we need to do is ask.

Question 1: aim.
OK we are discussing strengthening our ties with the spiritual realm. So our aim could be as vague as that or as specific as communicating with a spirit guide/ animal totem.

Question 2: method.
Think. That what you aim to contact is best related to what. Meditate on the question and jot down what comes to your mind. It could be a colour. It could be an object. Or anything else like a fragrance, herb, chant etc...your meditation will guide you the best. Always.

Carefully study your list and try for a connecting link between the objects. What could be the best magick that incorporates all (or most) of those items?
Candle magick? Brew? Potion? Craft? Chants alone? It could be any thing. Let the answer cone to you.

What comes to you is the right way. What you force on yourself may look fancier and may have worked well for many, but all of us have different energy signatures and thus resonate with different things.

Question 3: editing.
Of course the ancient wisdom should be heeded. If you have any doubts, it is a good idea to seek help from people or internet. If nothing else, it will boost your confidence (and thus increase your belief in your craft) (vital !!!)
Also, you can seek advice on adding other things like seeking crystal energy or tarot use in your craft. If you feel so, seek help.

Question 4: time and place.
Day or night, indoors or in a park/forest. Many factors affect this.
It is not necessary that spells be cast at night. You could let your intuition guide you. It is a good idea to keep all your materials in reach and go about your daily routine, at all times mindful of your spell. At some point of time, you will really feel like casting it. Go ahead, perhaps it is the best time!
Another approach could be timing the nature of the spell with the planetary influence on a particular time. For instance, communication can be enhanced by seeking the blessings of Mercury. Typically, Mercury influences us on a Wednesday, however, each day also has some influence of each planet at different times. If you can check that out, very well!

Also, then there is the need for privacy and comfort and many of us end up casting spells at night. Anything is good if you can successfully raise the energy.

So go ahead with what suits you best.

Question 5: concluding.
This is very important and very commonly overlooked!
Concluding spell includes opening the circle, proper disposal (dispersal?) of the remains (candle wax, water, ash, herb etc should be suitably disposed off. Here we are focussing on spell for communication so blowing the ash or herbs with the wind seems better than simply burying them into the earth) (but suit yourself!), GROUNDING yourself and eating something. Perhaps, even hand washing under running water.

That's it! At all times, let yourself be guided.

MALLEUS MALEFICARUM

"The Malleus Maleficarum or 'Hammer of the Witches', is a treatise on the prosecution of witches, written in 1486 by Heinrich Kramer, a German Catholic clergyman.

Three years after its publication, the Catholic Church condemned the Malleus Maleficarum", although, sadly,  it was later used by royal courts during the Renaissance, and contributed to the increasingly brutal prosecution of peaceful pagans and practitioners of the craft in 16th and 17th centuries. So basically, (mainly) women who worked as healers and worshipped the Sun, the Moon and the elements such as wind, water, fire and earth herself, were barbarically killed/burnt/slaughtered after being wrongfully tagged as devils/ workers of demons. (Who is the devil again?)

"Kramer wrote the Malleus shortly after being expelled from Innsbruck by the local bishop after a failed attempt to conduct his own witchcraft prosecution."

"The treatise describes how women and men become inclined to practise witchcraft. The text argues that women are more susceptible to demonic temptations through the manifold weaknesses of their gender. It was believed that they were weaker in faith and more carnal than men. The very title of the Malleus Maleficarum is feminine, alluding to the idea that it was women who were the villains. Otherwise, it would be the Malleus Maleficorum" (a masculine/unisexual term). The text is clearly disrespectful towards women and shows that it had been written by someone who doesn't understand the beauty of Goddess/ Goddess religions/ the Divine Feminine. Perhaps women can easily relate to the Goddess but some of the greatest practitioners of the art and science of 'the craft' have been men. Anyone who has an open heart can relate to the Goddess, as after all, it is women who give birth to both men and women.

Also, the fact that most of the "women accused as witches had strong personalities and were known to defy convention" suggests that perhaps Kramer wished that women be suppressed.

Although, the book accuses both male and female witches as worthy of punishment. It accuses the peaceful followers of paganism, healers, druids etc. of heinous acts that paganism and wicca actually prohibit, such as infanticide, cannibalism and casting evil spells!

Clearly the book gives an altered picture of pagan beliefs to those who aren't familiar with them and creates hatred towards some of the wisest and most tolerant people who call themselves 'sons and daughters of the Earth' and celebrate the beauty in the bounties of nature: moon, sun, rain, snow, hail, herbs etc.

Is it a sin to acknowledge the Sun who shines upon us each day and gives us crops and ripe fruits?
Or is it a sin to collect fresh herbs in exchange for an offering to mother Earth (Yes, we do not simply go about plundering the nature! We know we are asking the Earth for a part of her that we need and we offer her a small token as gratitude) to brew some hot tea for an ailing neighbour?

Paganism, neopaganism or wicca, teach us to honour the abundance of nature around us. It makes us more mindful of our unkind acts of ruthless plundering. It reminds us to try and coexist with everyone: animate or inanimate.

It tells us to honour all beings irrespective of their nationality or religious beliefs.

May the light of true knowledge deliver you to the truth. May your heart be kind and soul be blessed!

FAIR WARNINGS:

Domestic issues perhaps pertaining to someone close may lead to anxiety. These may be because of disharmony arising out of a feeling of betrayal which could possibly be because of your own aggressiveness. It is better to retreat in such situations as fixing often breaks it more and other's inability to see that you are in fact fixing things make you feel frustrated. So it could hurt you as well as the person concerned. You see, no one shall be at fault yet all could suffer.

THE PLAN OF ACTION:
You are warned against giving up on relationships. What happened, happened to teach you. Learn and let go. Don't make a big deal out of it. Avoiding that feeling of emptiness isn't the solution. Reconnect. Reconnect with divinity within yourself, in people around you and in the elements!

THE GAIN:
Doing the above will put off that temper or aggression and shall lead to a time of transformation, materialistic abundance as well as revelations of your own innate capabilities! Should all go according to the guidance, expect unexpected gifts, joy and prosperity!

My love for the runes, I cannot describe. But what I can describe is how much I revere them.
